ABOUT
I am a poet and emerging literary translator with a special interest in fiction, poetry and feminist writing. For me, literary translation is a way of connecting people with stories and ideas originally written in another language and cultural context. It is my hope that making these stories and ideas available in English will have a positive impact on people's lives.

As a sensitive person, I am able to understand each source text on a deeper level, going beyond the words on the page and accessing the thoughts and emotions behind them. Combining this with my expressive creativity, I can reproduce these thoughts and emotions in English whilst still keeping the linguistic originality of each piece.
I write and perform my own poetry in both English and Spanish - sometimes both at once! You can often find me behind a mic in a pub basement (or on Zoom), sharing my work and listening to the work of others. Be sure to follow me on Twitter if you would like to know when my next performances are!

I am a passionate and driven person and I dedicate myself fully to each project I undertake. Being creative brings me great joy, and I like to share this joy with the people around me. I am honest and hard-working, and look forward to the challenge of a fresh translation with eager anticipation!
